Mayor’s International Council Salutes the Mexican Independence.

Miami, FL  September 14, 2015 – City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and the Mayor’s International Council joinThe Consul General of Mexico in Miami, José Antonio Zabalgoitia, invites the community to the 205th Anniversary of Mexican Independence.

 In true Mexican tradition, the event will feature authentic Mexican food stalls, games, mariachi and the traditional Grito de Independencia.Making this year’s celebration of the Independence of Mexico more interactive the use of social media will be instrumental.

The Consul General requests that the general public share their photos of Mexico (including landscapes, food and traditions) so that they can be projected on screens during the event. They can send them toprensamiami@mexicomiami.org or share them on social networks using the hashtag #ProudlyMexican.

Those interested in attending can join through Facebook and invite their friends by searching for ¡Viva México! Fiestas Patrias en Miami 2015 hosted by the Instituto Cultural de México en Miami.
