Miami, Fl September 17, 2015  – City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado, Commission Chairman Wifredo “Willy” Gort, and Chairman of the Miami River Commission Horacio Stuart Aguirre joined the Apex team for the grand opening of the newest Apex Marine facility on the Miami River in District 1.

“The Miami River is experiencing the most exciting renaissance in its history. Today, we can call this river the NEW Miami River. Never before has there been such a resurgence in the recreational marine trades industry in Miami. The arrival of Apex Marine to the Miami River solidifies Miami and the Miami River as a major yacht servicing destination. As a long time promoter of this industry, I welcome Apex Marine as it takes its place along with the many other facilities, such as Merrill-Stevens, Hurricane Cove, Norseman, and others,” said Mayor Regalado.

The opening of this new 5.5 acre facility is indicative of the rebirth of the Miami River as a working river. “I welcome Apex Marine to our community. Apex Marine and the yacht servicing industry brings clean industry, good paying permanent jobs and sustained economic growth to the Miami River, the City of Miami and the county,” stated Commission Chairman Gort.
