Grand opening of EUE/Screen Gems Studios Miami, Florida.

The Miami Omni Community Redevelopment Agency (Omni CRA) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Florida’s newest film and television production facility. The facility was constructed as a public-private partnership by the Omni CRA and will be operated by EUE/Screen Gems.

The new studio, with two fully operational film sound stages of 15,000 square feet each, a 50 foot roof, 40 foot grid height, and approximately 15,000 square feet of office, editing suites, talent support space, and accessory rooms, will serve productions of all sizes, including major movies, television series and independent films.

In attendance, Mayor Tomas Regalado, Commission Chairman Wifredo “Willy” Gort, Commission Vice-Chairman Keon Hardemon,Commissioner and Omni CRA Chairman Marc D. Sarnoff, and Omni CRA Executive Director Pieter Bockweg amongst others.
